GM | RE:Love
Team project for Innovation Studio of the first semester MBA in Design Strategy program. The task was to reinvent GM, or propose a way that it could effectively get back on the market and remain in it. My team’s proposal was to restructure the organization of GM so that it focuses on consumer-led innovation, catering to the consumer from multiple experience touch-points; seducing the consumer not unlike the process of falling in love. The conclusion was reached after extensive interview research process that identified negative perception of the GM brand, as well as from investigations into what draws people to one another.
Presented here is just a sampling of the entire presentation. If interested in full analysis, please e-mail for a copy.

- Initial Proposal
The premise of this interior proposal was to create an ultra sporty mix of styling and functionality by drawing inspiration from action sports apparel and accessories, as well as the original heritage of the Jeep brand. The essence of the philosophy of wabi-sabi was carried over into the material use and development, by using non-uniform grains and pattern applications over large surface areas which would be different from vehicle to vehicle; thus, allowing each customer to have their own, unique cut of the panel.

Restyle of the front fascia of Dodge Magnum for 2008, emphasizing sportier, more aggressive appearance. One of the main goals of the refresh was to decrease the wide-eyed look of the head lamps of the first generation Magnum, and in its place create highly detailed head lamp inners, with possibly more sophisticated lighting options. Overall, the goal was to update the vehicle with a clean and modern statement.

Dodge Nucleus was a six month project completed during a design rotation at Chrysler’s, now unfortunately defunct, Pacifica Advanced Design Center in Carlsbad, California. The concept vision arose from an identified customer segment by the marketing department, for a vehicle accomodating future needs of the highly energetic Generation Y. The result was Nucleus : a versatile eccentric vehicle with versatile space, configurable for an active and adventurous lifestyle.

- Proposal with Engineering Input
The premise of this interior proposal was to create an environment within a vehicle which embodied the qualities of simplicity, sustainability and feels-like-home comfort. Dynamic lines are combined with a sophisticated color palette to further enhance the elegance of the form. The final statement is thus one of undisturbed purity, energy and timeless beauty. These slight, gentle and energetic surface shifts alongside unique patterns and eco-friendly materials result in a holistic and inviting environment.

- Rear Seat Center Console
This center console design proposal was created after an intensive research into the trend developments in E-Shift and consumer electronics technology, alongside extensive voice-of-customer input regarding storage and storage use. The console was also supposed to be modular enough so it could seamlessly integrate in two differently branded interiors, without resorting to a non-descript, generic design form vocabulary. The result was a rather sculptural center console, with a faux floating armrest feature, which added both elegance and energy to the design.
